How Does Bangla Remit Work?

Bangla Remit enables customers to send money online through a very simple process – sign up, provide ID, add a beneficiary and pay. Your funds will be available depending on the selected method of transfer: cash collection or bank transfer.

What Documents Do I Need to Provide to register?

After you sign up, you will need to upload your photo ID such as Passport or Driving Licence and proof of address such as a recent utility bill or bank statement. e date as well as the photo. After this has been verified, you will be able to start transferring. However, in some circumstances, we may require further information for compliance reasons. In such a case, we will contact you.

Why Do I Need to Provide ID?

It is a legal requirement to carry out KYC (Know your Customer) checks on all our customers.

How Safe is Bangla Remit?

Bangla Remit is regulated by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) and HMRC. Our system and service partners are all regulated and we all use state of the art, secure, and robust systems to processes and monitor your transaction from the beginning right to the end where its paid out or collected by your beneficiary.

What if I Have Privacy Concerns?

Protecting your data and details is of the upmost importance to us. All information and documents are kept secure and private and are only used to complete our ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) legal requirement checks. You can read our privacy policy here privacy policy. Which Delivery Methods Can I Use?

Currently, we offer cash collection and bank transfers. Should you choose a cash collection service, the beneficiary can collect the funds from the any of the banks available on our list. Account transfers can be credited to any bank account in Bangladesh.

How Long Will My Transfer Take?

Cash collection will be available the next working day. Bank transfers will take 2-3 working days excluding weekends in Bangladesh which is Friday and Saturday and Public Holidays.

What Information Do I Need for a Account Transfer?

You will need provide the following:

  • account holders name (exactly as per the spelling held by the beneficiary’s bank);
  • account number and;
  • name of branch from the dropdown list (for example – ‘Uposhor’ Branch).

Can I Send To My Own Bank Account?

Yes you can, simply input your account details like above.

What Does My Beneficiary Have to Provide For Cash Collection?

Your beneficiary will have to provide ID to confirm their identity. For bank transfers, the funds will automatically be credited in to their account.

What Do I Do After I Send the Money?

You may log into your Bangla Remit account for the status of any of your transaction. If there are any issues, we will contact you or you may email us if you have any query. If you choose cash collection service, you will need to provide your beneficiary with the transaction reference for example ‘WWS123456789’. This can be found on your transaction confirmation receipt.

How Do I Make The Payment?

You can pay through debit card and credit card to our merchant account or via bank transfer.
